Delhi Tales - Dilli 6!

To travel and explore is something that many like, but at times we miss out on exploring the place where we spend our routine. So I came up with the idea of doing something productive and exploring the city where I live, Delhi!
With a little pre-planning, my friend and I all set out on Saturday night to leave the streets of Delhi for Golgappe and Momos and end our supper with Maggi. You can find street food festivals here every day!

The following day, we start with our visit to JamaMasjid. Truly marvellous the place is! I wish the government had aseparate hall for prayers and not just open the sacred place of worship for tourism.
On the sides of the huge mosque, there were four pillars, and one of the towers was open to visitors. Little idea I had before getting inside the tower. It was freaking narrow, suffocating due to the rush, with the spiral stairs and the small amount of sunlight and air gushing through the windows, spared to keep you alive inside! It was very claustrophobic! But when you reach the top, you feel the worthiness of it! You see the whole of Puraani Dilli from the top.

As we exited the Jama Masjid, we wandered the streets for food. With some help from Zomato and Trip Advisor, Alice was not lost in the land of food. After having fried fish and fried chicken at Haji Mohd. Chicken, we went to"Aslam's Chicken Corner" and had the most tantalising was butter chicken, which is very different from the rest of the breed of butter chicken served in restaurants. Aslam's Butter Chicken was a blend of decent pieces of roasted chicken with bones, dipped in a gravy of curd with spices, and topped with layers of butter!
You cannot believe someone until you experience it with your own taste buds!
There are a few more delicacies that are famous around this area, but unfortunately, we could not have them for either of the two reasons:
1. It was a Sunday. The shops were closed.
2. We were more than full to spare some empty space in our stomachs.

The places are:

Chandni chowk ka Roller Ice cream 🍧
Fatehpuri ki Rabri Kulfi and desserts 🍦
Chowri bazaar ka fruit sandwich at Jain Coffee house 🍒

A day well spent! I look forward to digging into the city more in the coming weekend.
